I’ve played this tournament, lots of fun!

Can report for Red raccoon dog team (turn’s out that’s an anime, zoomers came up with the name).

Kurnoth’s Heralds had been piloted by a newbie, only a few introductionary games before. Played with HG+BA, we let him take BA so it would be easier for him. We didn’t have much tactical thoughts about how to approach tournament, just made sure that Kurnoth’s Heralds would be choosing an opponent from two proposed warbands.

Other teammate took The Starblood Stalkers with NP+EK. He is playing Underworlds for a few months. I think he wasn’t happy with how EK performed for him.

And I play since february, came this time with Ironsoul’s Condemners with RS+RF. I would prefer to replace RF with BA, but it was surprisingly fun nonetheless.

Previous tournaments I have played with Rippa’s Snarlfangs BA+RF and Xandire’s Truthseekers ES+NP so I was in mood to try something else, but didn’t have enough time to practice with a new awrband. Therefore Ironsoul’s Condemners seemed like a less cerebral choice. Good ol’ Boink Division to smack the living shit out of all enemies of Sigmar.

My first round happened to be against Grandfather’s Gardeners, not to familiar with intricate details of their warscroll, painful mistakes were made. We played with a clock, so we managed to complete 3 matches. Clutched 2 victories somehow.

Second round against Grymwatch, IIRC it had PP+EK. Piloted by a guy who shows consistently great results with this warband. It is curious how Grymwatch seems to be able do everything everywhere at once and not feel too oppressive to the point of not being fun. Love this matchup. First match lost with a score something like 20-22, and second match I had bad rolls and kept failing missions since first round: 0-2 in the end.

Third round against a casual team, met Blood of the Bull PP+DS which I know very well. Happy to fight some Chorfs anyday. Strangely first match resulted in a tie, and lost by a tie-breaker. Then won second match. 1-1

Sorry for dropping Ironsoul’s Condemners stats though, there are always winners and losers.

Nice to read your articles, keep it up and cheers!

    Hello there

Thanks for the article, it was very interesting and entertaining to read

I’m one of the contestants from this tournament, and I’ve played Gardeners

It wasn’t my day. I won against Ironsouls, and lost to Jaws (imo really bad pairing for Gardeners) and Shadeborn

A llittle bit of unluck with dice and hands, and Shadeborn just denied all of my objectives and I couldn’t find the resources to prevent that

If you’d like to know more, I will gladly help)
