This month saw the World Championships for Warhammer Underworlds in Atlanta, GA. Aman Khusro (the Underworlds GOAT) of Texas came away the inaugural World Champion with Domitan’s Stormcovern using Force of Frost, defeating France’s Cyril Deneux who played Ephilim’s Pandaemonum, also using Force of Frost. Aman was undefeated throughout the event, and he continued to demonstrate why he, and Path to Glory in general, are top-tier and the main place to go for competitive information. Rounding out the podium with Third was Canada’s Steven Painter, who piloted Ephilim’s Pandaemonium using Seismic Shock. Steven is a friend of Rain City Thunderworlds (gave me a right whoopin’ at the Tacoma Open), and even wore our team bandana throughout the event. See guys? I made it to Worlds after all!

What the Hex discussed potential pairings and expectations leading into Worlds (prior to the event) – worth a listen for theorycrafting (and they’re fun guys too!)

Following Worlds, BattleMallet has posted an audio interview with Zach Newcome, one of the competitors at Worlds if you’re interested to hear more about the event.

Sleeksbowl has posted up some content regarding Gryselle’s Arenai – some of which I guest wrote. The series is ongoing, and I’ll have a full post once it’s all up, but if you wanted to check out a deep dive for a fun and underused warband, scope his stuff!

Handful of Dice has posted their quick review of the new Rivals decks from Deathgorge: Force of Frost and Breakneck Slaughter. A great resource for new players and getting your head wrapped around a new card pack

The Staggerers blog has posted another tier list – this time related to ping cards themselves rather than warbands! Tier lists are always great for discussion and arguments, so check these out and see how to tune your decks for maximum ping play (or disagree with his decisions)

For members of the Chosen Axes Mafia, Wathlab (the madman behind Beardgrave) has made his ‘final version’ of the custom updates to the Chosen Axes to make them fully competitive in Rivals play and beyond. Definitely homebrew content, but four years of playtesting and dedicated thought went into this and I’ll always support this kind of passion project. Give them a spin in your local group if people are open to it!

“Myari’s Petrified” by Torchic_armada with a crazy cool scenic base. The pink is sharp and the gold fits really well, all in a crystalline effect that just pops right off the screen. Phenomenal work and dioramas are always nice to see

Skabbik’s Plaguepack by 1tchytasty with great fading censer fumes going from vivid pink to deep blue and teal. The technicolor smoke pairs really well with the pale beige burlap sack cloaks.

DeepSeaMiniatures has posted some Sons of Velmorn with green OSL for the eye sockets and a nice purple on their cloth tatters. Even Jedran has glow dots in his faceplate!

You’ve seen the shield last month, now how about that axe? Flameon Miniatures has posted work on Razek Godblessed’s weapon (the post reads Dour Cragan, but minor detail). I swear this looks like digital art – what a skilled painter

EspiKira has finished the next Son of Velmorn, this time with Marshall Faulk

Robin Naumann has completed the new Thricefold Discord and boy howdy do those gems, cloth, and metals work together better than the daemons ever could. Classic Daemonette style too

Stormsire’s Cursebreakers by Alessandro Azzone – love the minty green and pink, which really pop on these minis

Stunning purple Cyreni’s Razors by Dagg3rsB, and just look at the mottled cloak! Remarkable freehand pattern and very aquatic. They have also posted blue and red Thorns of the Briar Queen, and some great looking Gnarlspirit Pack as well

Anulian has finished King Velmorn – complete with a freehand Fleur-de-Lis on the back of the cloak! Here’s a family photo of the whole warband now that they’re all completed.

Pointy Burk by TheRealBiggieJ – the velvet cloth texture with the chipped shield paint and busted weapon really contrast well here – excellent stuff

Incredible Grinkrak’s Looncourt by Micho95 – check out the Sorcerer’s Apprentice moon and star robes! Just gorgeous all around and precise execution of so much fine detail. What a marvelous painter we have in our community. MORE PHOTOS at insta: @takeyourtime_minis

Salty_Gazelle62 has posted a great teal cloaked, red armored Crimson Court. A Classic, and you love to see it

Robert Graham posted some Cities of Sigmar-esque conversions for Aemos and Hexbane, and they look very Warhammer. The big scroll on Aemos and the hammer itself are super old-world and I absolutely dig the vibe

Vasily Shipilov of Liber Daemonica has posted some excellent white-bedsheet Lady Harrow’s Mournflight, with picture perfect blood effects. Classic horror stuff

Nikos Xontos posted Headkrakka’s Madmob, and painted the Ork skin just flawlessly. Well done!

Stuart McQuarrie, of Crown & Dagger Miniature Painting presented us with some high-heat Fyresleayers this month. Excellent flame/molten effect on the Chosen Axes.

Antti Jäppinen has done some great things with non-metallic metals on Ironsoul’s Condemnors. Great highlighting on the cloaks to boot!

Andy Smith posted some banana and grey Purifiers, which I always approve of as a color combination. Bahannar looks viscous here – the brass helmet really gives a Darth Vader feel to him

Flaviuz of the Monkey’s Hex posted his Cyreni’s Razors (which are lovely, and the green on the helmet crest is really nice) but the actual reason I’m sharing this is because of the massive trophy he has behind them! Check out that hardware!
