Hello, HOW DO YOU KNOW THE HEXES GENERATED BY Earth-Shattering Tread dont affect at your own warriors?

The card says ‘other fighters treat those hexes as lethal’ – so the model who is equipped with the upgrade does not. This keeps them from being driven back into them or hurt if they move through them, but also makes them not hazardous for that fighter when looking at Puncturing Ice Shards etc. it DOES affect the other fighters in your warband who do not have the upgrade though!
