Featured this month are a few renditions of the Granfather’s Gardeners my local group did as a monthly painting challenge. Several of us had copies of the warband unpainted, and seeing as March is sowing season when better to get down to gardening?

PODCASTS
What the Hex put out three solid episodes this month – the first being a discussion about bringing kids to events and training family members (plus a super cute kid interviewing kid segment at the end). They had a long discussion about their take on the current Meta as they prepped for Adepticon,, and finally a ‘what I’m bringing and why’ marathon with everybody from their substantially sized local scene attending ACon.
Path to Glory had an interview with Val, who won the Clash at Warhammer World and was runner up at the Grand Clash the following day. They also had a Meta Assessment coming into Adepticon that covers what they think is good and likely to be seen at a big event these days.

Glorkazworka has posted a Nemesis Pairing Tier List video discussion in Polish. While I don’t speak Polish and can’t comment on their rationale, I do like the pretty picture
Critical Focus Channel continued their incredible pace of videos as usual this month. Here’s a ‘Fixing Bad Warbands’ episode about Blackpowder’s Buccaneers, Here is a Zarbag’s vs Jaws battle report, Here is the prep for the Copenhagen Clash, and here’s a recap of the event. They also started a “Lore vs Rules” series, starting with Death Warbands!
La Prima Sfera posted another battle report in Italian, this time with Ylthari’s Guardians vs Kainan’s Reapers in Rivals format.
Finally, the Agents of Sigmar posted a very interesting video titled “Embergard: How It’s Going Report Card” to cover their thoughts on the new edition now that we have a few months of experience. They also posted a “Rivals Deck Tier List” which are always fun

Jon Grant Miniatures posted a rivals tournament recap covering his games with Cyreni’s Razors and Countdown to Cataclysm
Staggerers has been VERY busy this month – here’s a suggested kill priority for each warband in the Order Grand Alliance as well as one for Destruction, here’s a review of Dan Knight’s Edge of the Knife Condemnors, Michael’s Spiteclaw deck for the Copenhagen Clash, and a recap of the Clash itself.

Events/Organized Play

Adepticon, generally seen as the premiere North American Underworlds event, took place at the end of March. In the End, Mark of Path to Glory took it over Skyler of What the Hex in a surprisingly ‘off-meta’ finals, with Mark running Kainan’s Reapers and Skyler using Ylthari’s (with P&P and Wrack and Ruin!?). Great to see a solid turnout and a good variety of viable warbands and deck pairings in the top cut.
The Copenhagen Grand Clash finished up this month, and 37 players from 7 different countries competed in the event which eventually crowned Zarbag’s Gitz with Countdown to Cataclysm + Pillage and Plunder piloted by Frederik Hummeluhr.
Polish Championships in Poznan happened this month, and out of 32 players, the title went to Michał Michalski playing Zarbag’s Gitz with Countdown to Cataclysm and Pillage and Plunder.
The Czech League finals went down this month, with Václav Lankaš as the only undefeated player with Myari’s Purifiers.

Custom 40K cards and board for a game of FutureUnderworlds by gennooox – Severin as a Dark Angels Terminator and Slynk as a Skitarii fighter is a cool angle and you have to imagine this sort of thing would have huge pull for new players who like the space marine life
I learned about this attack odds calculator from First edition – Underworlds-odds. The math will be a little different considering the changes to crits, but if you wanted to do a little playing around with various roll probabilities this is a great way to burn a half hour.
North West Underworlds has a brand new slate of Gaming Aids for a few alternate play modes
And of course, the V1+ Vassal server has remained very busy. They’ve cooked up custom warbands, updated exiosting warbands, and backported new warbands into the first edition format. If you want more V1, you have to check it out. They’re taking volunteers to help with more work!

That’s a wrap! Tune in next month for April’s highlights, and don’t forget to Spend your Glory!
