Featured this month is this amazing rendition of Borgit’s Beastgrabbaz by Peppe Solano – the whole warband is worth checking out with a ruddy-nosed Uglug and great goblin skin on the minions, but I especially liked Borgit himself. The green freckling on Da Bad Moon shield adds a lot of character, offsets the adjacent red cap, and elevates what is honestly one of the better shaded yellows I have seen in a long time. Stellar work!

Outside of the usual categories, Mr Bombardi has created a dice calculation tool called B.U.U.D.I. that’s pretty neat for calculating success odds for a given attack
PODCASTS
What the Hex has a recap of Adepticon Milwaukee which covers the good times had and the pretty strong competitive showing from their crew.
Path to Glory also covered Adepticon, including a summary from Mark who won the event with Kaian’s Reapers
WtH also posted an audio battle report featuring Mollog vs Ephilim in what ended up being a pretty tight match. Fun listen!
YOUTUBE
Critical Focus Channel posted an early Knives of the Crone sneak peek, and while it only covers what’s publically available knowledge so far, still cool to get an advance read onto their takes on the warband at the outset.
CFC has also continued some of their cooler series, notably ‘Fixing Bad Warbands’ with a focus on Blackpowder, the Lore vs Rules series with a handful of Chaos warbands, and the viewer-submitted deck reviews, this time looking at a Grymwatch ES/CtC build.
Cinderfall Gaming posted a battle report between Rippa’s Snarlfangs and Zikkit’s Tunnelpack.

In related news, Luke Stone, who runs the channel, just got named as a Warhammer Hero for his work across multiple game systems, particularly the DadHammer Support Group which is super awesome to see. Glad to have a big name and a great guy as part of our community!
BLOGS

Goonhammer’s Starting Hex posted a really solid overview of Deck Size and Card Draw, highlighting lessons applied from other card game systems. Jake describes when it’s appropriate to exceed the ‘minimum 12/20’, and which warbands/decks can best perform at larger card counts. If you play Nemesis, give this a serious read!
Path to Glory has started releasing their warband reviews for the 16 Grand Alliance box teams! Mark seems to have had them written before worlds, but it’s possible that the PtG team was waiting on a little more info before giving too hot of a take. They’ve posted one of my favorites, The Dread Pageant, as well as Kainan’s Reapers (and it’s written by assuredly the single best Kainan player worldwide). Check them out!
Laura from the Magmahold posted a tournament report from the Agents of Sigmar clash in Redhill, where she took Jaws of Itzl with BA/CC and landed in 5th of 31.
Jon Grant also attended the same event and wrote about his experience with Daggok’s Stab-ladz paired with CC/WnR. The article includes his usual helpful board-state diagrams, but also a discussion on the attendees’ selections and the pretty diverse meta, with no warbands duplicated in the top 10.
As a special side note- congrats to Jon for breaking 6,000 views this month! Huge accomplishment for his page.

April 26th, Sanctuary Gaming Centre held a nemesis event where Jason Nigel Brown took gold with Borgit’s Beastgrabbaz and BA/PP. I knew somebody could do it!
Spain wasn’t done yet, however, as on 4/27 they held another event in Valencia where PincelFalso won it with Sepulchral Guard which was using CtC/WnR. A surprising pairing for the skeletons!

Painting/Hobby

Phenomenally clean Khagra’s Ravagers by mroz4. The NMM is pristine, and the reds are perfectly saturated. This one is dripping with beauty.

Valentin Hornik painted some gruesomely pale Skinnerkin and I’m in love with the color choices
The Boyz are back in town – Angelos Klados posted some killer Ironskull’s Boyz which always get shared on this page, since they’re obviously the greatest warband
Borgit’z Beastgrabbaz standing on converted minecarts – a really interesting concept that looks great! Thanks to Martin Higham for sharing
Amazing converted Gorath the Enforcer by Rodrigo Ciprés – titled Count Cholcula, it features amazing Red NMM armor and a gorgeous green marble staircase
Ace of Paints posted her really colorful smurf-like Borgit’s Beastgrabbaz this month, and as usual she has hit a home run
Lightning wreathed Emberwatch posted by Живко Иванов Железов which have the SICKEST cloaks you’ve ever seen, too
Averon Stormsire in magical majesty painted by Marcas O’Riagáin
Chosen Axes in a Dark Iron World of Warscraft theme by Cerviathrax which looks great on them – honestly better than WoW ever made it look. I especially like the fade to molten edge on the weaponry
A wild Elathain’s Soulraid proxy from anatolikav where everybody is some kind of fishman monster – incredibly creative stuff (and a great way to get a hold of OOP models)
Dagg3rsB, who I always seem to feature in these roundups, has made the list again with some killer Borgit’s Beastgrabbaz – check out the NMM and the excellent purple robes
Striking pale skin on Borgit’s Beastgrabbaz by Beardnash. The dark copper shield, the incredible freehand, and the subtle but ecxellent NMM make this a fantastic work.
Really cool minis from Grinkrak’s Looncourt by Studio489 – here’s Pointy Burk and here’s the big ole slingshot boys. Love the pinkish lighting effects!
Zarbag’s Gitz by 61 painting which have really interesting, almost 5 o’clock shadow effects on the skin. The mushrooms are top tier and the cloth is well done too!
Zikkit’s Tunnelpack in a really nice white and laser green scheme by jtv123. Contrast paint done right!
Deep turquoise cloaks on The Headsmen’s Curse by Tiev, which looks killer. Really digging the contrast with the sandstone basing. They also posted Zikkit’s Tunnelpack in a really cool warpstone green and turquoise cloth scheme
Some really smooth Jaws of Itzl in a burnt orange theme by jtv123 – I especially enjoy the crisp basing
“Men Against Darkness”: Hexbane’s Hunters in a nearly monochrome brown by FishBulber. They set out to ‘bring home the feel of them hunting I pitch black with only their torch to light the way’ and I’d say it was a success
Screaming turquoise Ylthari’s Guardians by JaviPaintsMinis
Cyreni’s Razors with a cool almost peach-pale skin going on, and a realistic squid. Nice color choice by Ajaxsis. They also painted up some steel and brown Emberwatch that look almost like they could fit into The Old World – nice and gritty!
Khagra’s Ravagers 2.0 by Jamie Eden, with awesome chaos warrior sculpts as alternate models. Not done yet, he also posted up a halfling and ogre conversion/proxy for Blackpowder’s Buccaneers which look almost like Ozzy Osbourne
Verne Paints posted some pale Grymwatch which are very nicely put together
Skabbik’s Plaguepack in gorgeous white by toggydhiskey
Inverted scheme Magore’s Fiends by Kishin_miniatures which look awesome – the cream plates must have been hard to do!
Vellas Von Faine converted into a wight king (queen?) for Vampire Counts by Josh Crozman
Ricardo Davila posted up some nice Gorechosen of Dromm, and they’re nice to look at even with the retained early-meta trauma
Who loves Wurmspat? We all do! Here’s a great rendition by -Kragg-
Max Mini Painting posted some excellently highlighted Hexbane’s Hunters
Zarbag’s Gitz with awesome highlighting, great skin tones, and NMM as well. The squigs are a special delight. Great stuff from nizzel55
Grashrak’s Despoilers, among my favorite warbands, painted lovingly by sannuvola
