Spent Glory has been live for two years now, and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for making this such a memorable and fun project that I will cherish for the rest of my days.

This all started when I was looking to get more involved in the hobby and was hoping to grow my local scene and provide resources for new players to use. I was realistically thinking I would help a handful of people a year at best, but it was a way to kill some downtime at work and was a way to engage with Underworlds outside of the gaming table.
In the two years since I stumbled into publishing, I have been recognized by people I have never met. I’ve had people react in genuine surprise when they meet my otherwise underwhelming self, saying “you mean you’re the Spent Glory guy?” I have been read more than 130,000 times. I’ve been included in the Games Workshop Creator Programme and oncer even hung out with famous people from YouTube and whatever at a convention. I’ve been invited to guest star and host on podcasts. I was invited to provide livestream commentary for the World Championships, for cryin’ out loud. And I’m just some guy who likes to play a couple times a week and babble on in text posts in the time between.
People send me messages, emails, tag me in comment threads. They reach out to talk to me about their ideas, their decks, their successes, and I love it – every interaction. I’m so grateful to have such a wondrous community of people that I have landed in, and I want to take this post to thank you, each and every one; whether we have spoken for hours, played a game together, traded emails, or never talked at all. This wouldn’t be what it is without the reader and I am so glad to have had you as an audience.
I have no intention of slowing down. I am still publishing something twice a week and will do so for the foreseeable future. Life, of course, can have other plans, but no matter what happens in the years to come I’ll have this page and the love you’ve shown me for it to keep me warm.
Roll some crits, spend some glory, cheers the underdog, and say hi to your friends for me. Thanks for two great years, and many more to come.
I love you all and hope your lives are filled with as much richness you’ve lent mine,
Fish
