Featured this month is yet another Borgit (the model is just too good), this time done with some expert-level burshwork by Marcin K. The bonus mushrooms on the base and the starry sky behind the moon shield really tie it all together.

What the Hex had Drex/Rex/Andrew/Not Andy, the winner of the Tacoma Open on to discuss his crazy Realmstone Raiders/Mollog win. They were also dumb enough to invite me to run roughshod over the whole thing and derail every conversation.

Path to Glory has put out several things in quick succession as well this month. An interview with Team Italy’s captains after their win at the WTC this month which had great competitive discussion, a Deckbuilding Deep Dive with George and Mark whcih is useful for just about everybody, and finished it off with the capstone to their herculean effort to finish their Nemesis Tier List. Big month for the PtG show!

Agents of Sigmar has started a series of guessing what the next set of Grand Alliance 4-pack warband will look like, and how their old rules will port into second edition. You can watch Chaos here, and check out Grand Alliance Order here.

Critical Focus Channel has continued their Deck Lore series, covering the ‘what and why’ of Emberstone Sentinels. They also had a Nemesis Battle Report with Gorechosen vs Thricefold in a high-power showdown

An Old Belgian Otaku has a battle report this month as well, showcasing Da Kunnin Krew against the Emberwatch

La Prima Sfera has a voice-over translation of the original Italian language battle report featuring a Rivals showdown for Knives of the Crone and Kamandora’s Blades

Finally, the KTLiveStream (which, as the name implies, normally shows Kill Team) hosted a French Language long-form battle and discussion for Underworlds, showcasing Cadwe vs Moongob (both phenomenal players) taking Jaws of Itzl and Kainan’s Reapers. It’s a full best-of-3 match and even features some custom boards!

BLOGS

Staggerers had two really cool releases this month – the first was covering the usual Dexamples articles for Raging Slayers, showing something for the deck with every valid pairing. What REALLY had me going though was the HUGE expert’s guide to Grinkrak’s Looncourt. This is a really underrepresented warband and part of that is because they’re difficult to understand – let Michael and the gang teach you, brave knights.

Tangential Contrivances had a cool rundown of how to paint some beautifully done Knives of the Crone

Jon Grant Miniatures has made a custom board with modular terrain he’s calling the Syshian Graveyard, and it kicks butt.

Goonahmmer also continued cranking out good stuff. Jake’s rolling on with the Turn Zero series – two entries this month for Placing Treasure Tokens and Deploying your fighters. Not to be stopped, they also had a good discussion on what a theoretical warband rotation might look like, and the impact it could have on the game.

Events/Organized Play

The NOVA Open went down in the Washington, DC area. Out of 16 players, Davy of What the Hex came away the winner with Da Kunnin KRew and ES/PP. I don’t think anybody saw that coming, and he’s now been the winner of two major events this year. Look out, worlds! His Son also won the favorite opponent award, and I wish I was as cool of a dad/person as he is.

UPCOMING

September 6th-7th is Minis and Mayhem in Vancouver, BC, which will feature TWO Golden Tickets! Go hang with the Canadians and say hi to Damian for me.

September 20th-21st will host the Polish Team Championship, with is a 3-man teams alliance format event with ELEVEN teams competing (and more possibly to come!). FB Link here and Google Drive link here

October 4th will host the next Agents of Sigmar Nemesis Tournament at Willen games in the UK.

It’s an older piece sir, but it still checks out. Snotling Diskotek painted up this magnificent Mir Kainan. Having just done the model myself I know how hard it is and this one blows me away.

MISCELLANEOUS

For those with the need to 3D print, Honza Skýpala has updated his token holder for Spitewood, with room for more feature tokens, to be able to contain 7 instead of 5.
