Featured this month are the Golden Daemon Bronze winning Grymwatch by Rafael García Marín who many will know as Volomir (the same dude who made the finals for Adepticon’s Underworlds Grand Clash). Incredible stuff and well deserved! Check out his Instagram here as well as his painting-focused website here.

Another thing that’s happened this month is that Valentin of Straight Outta Shadespire has released an updated Community FAQ document. This is NOT official, but while we await clarifications on these pending rules questions and interactions, this can be helpful for your games and any Tournament Judging activities you’ll do until your next rules update and errata are published. Thanks Val!

PODCASTS
Underworlds Underground came back with a year-old recording, released at long last, covering a Hot or Not assessment of the Revenants of the Realms Grand Alliance Death 4-pack from the Embergard drop. Listen in to hear Cabanas be a funny man who wishes he could be a member of the Grymwatch and hear why the Headsmen’s Curse goes hard in the paint.
Path to Glory has an interview with Saxthom (my dude!) running through his Shadeborn BA/RS deck that won the Palm Springs Open. While some things have changed based on the rules update since, it’s still a good listen for competitive discussion. They also posted a “Warband Wisdom” episode in which Mark explains his expert approach to Kainan’s Reapers.
What the Hex had a few good ones this month; first is an interview with Brandon Huss, the winner of the Cherokee Open explaining his win with the updated Spiteclaw’s Swarm and ES/PP. Next, they interview Jacob Wellner and his incredible insight into how best to play the Exiled Dead.

Goonhammer is on a tear and has lots of good stuff this month. Here’s part 1 and part 2 of a second evaluation of Raging Slayers now that the plot has been updated. Jake also looked at the healing abilities available in game which you can read here.
Goonhammer continues to partner with Hexodus from What the Hex, this month exploring Kamandora’s Blades (a dear favorite of mine.) Here’s Davy’s take and Jake’s experience with the band if you’re looking for something altogether new to try.
Staggerers continues to crank out tons of good content – I especially enjoyed this return to the Kill Priority series covering the Spitewood warbands
Path to Glory posted a call to arms for submission to the Nemesis Stats Project – I really enjoy the data they compile and would encourage you to submit your games to the record whether they’re tournaments or just regular play with friends. Every bit helps! If you want to see what cool data they’ve compiled and get some hands-on understanding of why this project is awesome, check out their dashboard here.
Jon Grant Miniatures has a really thorough analysis of attack statistics, and pretty convincingly shows us where and how sword attacks fail, and why you should get yourself 3 hammers as often as possible. Discussion on flanking, rerolls, and more. Great breakdown! He also posted several other things this month including a review of Rippa’s Snarlfangs
Events/Organized Play
March 8th, the reigning world champ Nocturnis proved he’s still got it by taking a win in Turnej WAWA in Poznan, Poland with Rippa’s Snarlfangs BA/RF. Guess their improved warscroll can get the job done! Second and Third place both went to Elathain’s Soulraid who remains quite strong.
March 8th also saw a tournament in Alast Belgium, the winner of which was Tom Murrath who picked up a Golden Ticket to worlds.
Warhammer World held a huge event that saw 90+ players! Two golden tickets were awarded, one to KRATOSHARK with Zarbag’s Gitz, and another to Martin Higham using Grandfather’s Gardners (along with the new Nexus of Power deck!). Read up on Zarbag’s path to the win on Critico y Culo (in Spanish). Staggerers also posted Michael’s experience at the clash where he took the new Thanatek’s tithe and somehow piloted it to a 4-2 finish!? Read about that here.
WHW also had a Bugman’s Evening Clash the night prior with 88 players (holy smokes) and while it didn’t have enough rounds to declare a true undefeated champion, the winner of the event was Jan Komarek with the Exiled Dead, who had an astounding +44 glory differential across 3 games.

Adepticon was held the 25th-29th of March at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, WI. In the End, Path to Glory’s George/Kyros came away the winner with Kurnoth’s Heralds and ES/CC.

March 29th saw the Copenhagen Grand Clash in Denmark. The winner was Lekkit piloting Emberwatch BARF, followed by Thanatek PP/CC and Starblood Stalkers ES/NoP
March 29th also featured the Benelux Clash in Ekeren Belgium. Val of Straight Outta Shadespire took 5-0 undefeated win with Kamandora’s Blades! Look forward to see him tear people up in Spain at Worlds this year. Additionally, Staggerers’ Quint posted an event recap where they detailed their matches using Zarbag’s Gitz PP/Nexus which you can read here.
March 29th ALSO saw the Olomouc clash in Czechia that saw Stefan Varga take the win with ES/Nexus Grandfather’s Gardeners and earn a ticket. That pairing was not how I foresaw that deck working at all, so glad to be proven wrong again!

March 29th ALSO saw a Spanish event go to Wallack, who piloted Elathain’s Soulraid BA/PP to a 4-0 victory over some incredible competition
March 29th ALSO ALSO saw the Italian event in Brescia go to Flaviuz of the Monkey’s Hex, taking a golden ticket to worlds while winning with Elathain’s Soulraid and ES/PP.
Was March 29th packed or what?! There also was a Thunderworlds clash in the UK that saw James Ellis take this title with Sons of Velmorn, and you love to see it. Scott Baird came in second with Ephilim’s Pandaemonium, and Dan Knight rounded out the podium with Knives of the Crone.

Dagg3rsB with NMM in multiple colors on these Kurnoth’s Heralds. I’m starting to run out of superlatives to describe this guy’s style, but yes, he’s done it again.

Atmospheric grimdark levels on Crimson Court by AtticaMiniatures

Ephilim the Unknowable in a killer starfield robe by Obalon. I tried something like this once, and didn’t pull of even remotely as cool of an effect. Looks great against the grey flesh!

Thanatek’s Tithe in vivid turquoise and red cloth by Andre Lavin. Everything stands out so well against the darker bone and stones.

Eric Dietz hit a home run with these Thorns of the Briar Queen, and since it’s been a ‘lifelong goal of his to be on Spent Glory’s Monthly Roundup’, I just had to drop these in. While I am easily swayed by flattery, these are definitely awesome enough on their own merits. Check out the cage mask on Varclav, which is especially nice
