Featured this month are some stunning Rippa’s Snarlfangs by greygobbo. The red leather is super realistic, the fur textures are phenomenal, and the basing foliage ties it all together. Drippy jaws and sweaty cowls all up in this joint. I mean, really, get a load of the flesh damage on these guys. Medically Accurate

PODCASTS
Underworlds Underground dropped 4 episodes this month (and 2 of them are even ‘real’ content!). Here’s an overview of the different warband archetypes in the game and their best uses, and here’s a faction focus for the Seraphon warbands. If you want more goofiness, we also published an overview of the 12 zodiac signs and which WHU fighters exemplify each, and our first NSFW ‘After Dark’ episode.
Path to Glory had three episodes release this month. The first was a review of Adepticon and how Geroge took the win with Kurnoth’s Heralds ES/CC. Next, they had a deep dive into strategies for success with Ehpilim’s Pandaemonium, and they closed things out with an interview with Lekkit, who won the Copenhagen Clash with Emberwatch BA/RF
What the Hex has their own rundown of their experience at Adepticon, and then had Jonas and Thomas on to talk about how they organized and ran the 2026 Copenhagen Clash (and how you might do something similar in your region)
YOUTUBE
Agents of Sigmar published a handful of videos this month; here’s a quick preview of the new warband Thyrielle’s Zephyrites, here is a battle report featuring Xandire’s Truthseekers vs Thundrik’s Profiteers, and finally here’s a frank discussion on what GW should change about the Organized Play Kit
Critical Focus Channel continues their card lore quotes quiz series with ‘Who Said It? #3″
Tom Murrath had a number of videos from the Benelux Clash this month, here’s the live final between Kamandora’s Blades BADS and The Headsmen’s Curse BARF with a ticket to worlds on the line
Dadhammer Underworlds is back in force, this time with 2 new battle report videos. Check out Borgit’s Beastgrabbaz BA/PP VS Ironsoul’s Condemnors BA/RS, and here’s their most recent one featuring Jaws of Itzl (BA/RS) vs Mollog (BA/RF)
Misfit Guild rounds out our battle reports for the month with a Rivals showdown between Skittershank’s Clawpack (Edge of the Knife) and Thundrik’s Profiteers (Hunting Grounds).
BLOGS
I missed it earlier, but What the Hex has a rundown of how to do a Fantasy Draft for competitive events. If you’re interested in a little side betting pool with your friends about what warbands or decks will perform well at a big tournament, here is a structured way to gamble on that!?
Staggerers has a deck guide for Thanatek’s Tithe PP/CC, following Michael K’s multiple strong competition results with the warband which took us all by surprise
Jon Grant covers objective card draw in his ongoing analysis series, looking at probability and mulligans
Goonhammer’s Starting Hex had an overview of Jake’s “Midrange Morgok’s Krushas” at Adepticon, describing his Emberstone Sentinels/Nexus of Power build. Take and Hold Ironjaws?! It’s more believable than you think.
The Lincoln Ave Log/Suddenly Salad has a newer player’s review of their experience at Adepticon where they took Grandfather’s Gardeners with ES/NP, and titled it “I went 5-14 at Adepticon and so can you”. Well written and witty, and worth a read for sure.
Events/Organized Play
April 4th saw a major event in St Petersburg, Russia. The win went to Pers with Emberwatch BA/CC, but I wanted to give a special shout to KhaZil taking second out of 24 players with an exact clone of my Kamandora Wrack/DS. It’s fun! It’s good! Play cool stuff!
April 19th saw Mazafreak held in Mazarrón, which saw the win go to PincelFalso on Las Cobras playing Shadeborn BA/CC. Here’s the rundown (in Spanish) on CriticoYCulo.
4/23 was another Warhammer World Clash, the winner was (to my great surprise) Thanatek’s Tithe which was piloted by Philip Lancashire. Nice work!
4/23 also saw a Mexican Grand Clash, awarding a world’s golden ticket to Carlos Yager Quiroz for winning 3-0 with Mollog’s Mob. Rounding out the podium was Roberto Vargas with Wurmspat and Bryan Felfody Nava taking Elathain.
April 23rd–26th, 2026, The Warhammer Open: Maastricht concluded with a Rippa on Rippa final. Filip Ignasiak took first with Rippa BA/RF, Second went to Jaroslaw (the reigning world champ) with Rippa BA/DS, 3rd was Giovanni with Thorns CC/DS, and 4th went to Jan-Willy Starblood ES/NP. Staggerers has a very lengthy but quality write-up about the event.
Maastricht also had a side event for players who missed the top 4 cut, running 5 best of 1 rounds. The win on that separate event went to Stefan Varga/Pistik with Spiteclaw’s Swarm pared with ES/PP who also amazingly was undefeated the day prior and only was bumped out in the shadow rounds. That makes the new old rats 8-1! Skritch truly is the greatest, yes-yes.

Painting/Hobby

Red-armored Morgok’s Krushas with incredible checks, dags, and the like from Ace of Paints. Oh, also Maria is obviously an Ace because these are so dang good. Look at those weapons, even!

Draknar, the GOAT of Grashrak’s Despoilers, is painted up in all the majesty he deserves by Roman Lappat. While I am aware it’s a delusional pipe dream, I so hope these guys get re-released for second edition down the road.

The Gnarlspirit Pack in red undertones and striking work on the textures. Directional lighting effects are a masterful touch on this work from greyepoxy

Metallic greens on the Wurmspat in an I-Can’t-Believe-It level of skill from madstudio_alexandre_gille

Insane detail on Varclav the Cruel from Thorns of the Briar Queen by Aleksandra / Mrs Craftworld Studio

Good god, these Elden Ring Wurspat are somehow way more disgusting than the originals. Great Clean One vibes on Gulgoch. Fecula looks like a Japanese frog demon. Sepsimus is straight out of a video game. Awesome conversion work by vitamin_deficiency

Beautiful Night-Elf style Karthaen, Huntcaller from Skaeth’s Wild Hunt by Raul Lamban. Incredible basing work and lighting.
Super cool Uglug in pale skin but psychadelic fades by Amalia’s miniatures
WOW you know that Morgok’s Krushas are ‘supposed’ to be yellow and all that. but yellow can mean a lot of different things. Here’s Thugg in the most lifelike yellow armor I’ve seen by Nicholas from compson_paints
Vibrant, multicolor Jaws of Itzl by mroz4. I love the almost glowing Ro-Tak!
“Ronald’s Tithe” by Pumpkin Margarita with Thanatek as Old McDonald himself, accompanied by some Happy Meals, Grimace, and the Hamburglar. I got to see these live at a local tournament and man they’re fun!
Converted Grymwatch, AKA ‘The Twisted Duchy’ by Benjamin Sheckler. Really neat way to spice them up and give them a bit more regal feel.
I_Am_Not_Alpharius? Check. Velmorn? Check. OSL and NMM? Check. Stylized bases? Check. Cloaks with freehand? Check. Going in the monthly roundup? You didn’t need to ask.
Dagg3rsB with sharp yet smooth Shadeborn. Check out those weapons!
Lava basing OSL on Magore’s Fiends by KathyBarros which brings back many good memories for me
Dark and dirty Gorechosen of Dromm on a cool diorama base by Lukas Wiggering
Khagra the Usurper’s glossy red armor by Flameon Miniatures
The dogs from Hexbane’s Hunters, one of which is in a really nice white with great fur effects. Sounds like it was super hard to do! Nice effort from -X-31-
Wedrall has Thanatek’s Tithe done in the most regal purple I’ve seen
Beautifully executed cream and sky blue on Myari’s Purifiers, just how you like to see it. Nicely done by RoughComposer4254
Super cool painting challenge that Haru89ka presented themsleves with: Paint Tavian of Sarnassus using only 3 colors and bad brushes. Still turned out better than mine did! Like honestly, click the link.
Infected Butter (great name) has these Blood of the Bull done in an excellent light brass color and very smoothly to boot. The hobgrot is a dark little side treat.
It’s a super understated scheme, with desaturated, almost dusty colors, but these Brethren of the Bolt by LeGrandeChien are worth staring at for a few minutes
Amazing facial detail on Aemos Duncarrow by dani_darkmetal
Hyper-vibrant Kreep Kinwhisper by Truul0 with some custom basing
Satin purple robes on Grinkrak’s Looncourt by TheMoodyDoo
Jon Grant is back at it with Thanatek’s Tithe in his strikingly clean style, and richly tinted royal blues
Gnarly and bruised Grymwatch by PluotPrice. Really sells the flesh-eater courts ghoul aspect.
Blue skinned, liver-spotted Skinnerkin by WhomTheBellToll
Sons of Velmorn/Bretonnia by libiver which has beautiful bicolor livery
Duke Crackmarrow in a haunting ice-blue by lahnusbhuc
Thanatek’s Tithe with a cool lightning background and stark bone colors by PeterPaintsWHU
MISCELLANEOUS

The above is a custom sticker made by (as you might guess) Gator Dave to celebrate his love for our two Seraphon warbands. I saw a picture in discord and just had to share with everybody, because this is the exact kind of awesome fan art I love to see.
An awesome custom warband/custom warscroll idea out of nexomad, check out The Gloomsearchers – a Cities of Sigmar D&D-style party using some of the models from the most recent Warhammer Quest game. Neat concept!
“Vault Keeper” Token Portable Storage system for anybody looking for a compact way to lug around their accessories to game night. It fits in a card box!
That’s a wrap! See you all next month for May’s Highlights.
