‘Avin a Good Time is a series here on Spent Glory where we drop the serious competitive approach, skip the idea of helping new players, and ignore altogether anything useful to the community and instead just have ourselves a good time. Gurzag and the Boyz approve, and so should you.

Last time, we introduced the lovely ladies of Order (prior to the buckets of new warbands released this week). With all that new warband info and lots of competitive discussion, there was no better time to return to something completely irrelevant to all of that and see how our Bachelor, Mr Ardorn, fared romantically over the past few weeks, Plus, I’m gassed out after writing a collective novel longer than The Great Gatsby and these are super easy to write because you did it all for me.
As a refresher, the contestants were:
Cyreni of the Abyss
Gwynne Ironsoul
Brydget Axwold
Ylthari
Ailenn the Mind’s Edge
Soror Tazat
Kaerna Vix.
The competition categories were:
Most likely to be sent home at the first rose ceremony
Most likely to get thrown in the pool by her hair
Most likely to do the throwing by the hair (after too many wine coolers?)
Most likely to be more interested in undermining her peers through gossip and rumors than chasing the Bachelor
Most likely to spend more time making gal pals than romancing our Bachelor
Most likely to be the first invited to the Fantasy Suite
Most likely to ‘you can’t fire me, I quit’
Most likely to win the competition and marry our fiery Ardorn
Let’s see what y’all voted for!
Most likely to be sent home at the first rose ceremony

Clear ‘first losers’ were Soror Tazat, followed by Ylthari and Cyreni.

For Tazat, you said “Her static shock made it difficult to connect with anyone”
Ylthari apparently was “cold calculating, not spending time talking”
And for Cyreni, you said “She can’t be away from the water for too long or she might stop breathing!” and “Let’s face it, an Idoneth noble probably has the biggest superiority complex out of all the people here. And since she can’t get Ardorn’s soul, what use is he?”
Most likely to get thrown in the pool by her hair

Tight competition this time, with Cyreni just edging out the other top votes for Kaerna Vix and Ailenn.
Cyreni was “to be sent back to her home” and was “probably being too snobby”

Shout out to whoever submitted Soror Tazat’s “She wants to become a stormcast right? One step down is getting killed by one surely – electricity and water make a bad mix…” and for “I can picture Brydget starting to accuse someone else of heresy and getting put in her place (the pool) real quick.”
Most likely to do the throwing by the hair (after too many wine coolers?)

I don’t know what I expected. Of course Gwynne did it.

As one of you astutely put: “If anyone here embodies “talk shit, get hit” here, it’s Gwynne.”
Most likely to be more interested in undermining her peers through gossip and rumors than chasing the Bachelor

Kaerna Vix was an easy choice here. Dark Elves do be darksided.

“Daughters of Khaine are from Ulgu, so it tracks that she would be into spreading rumors (only because murder isn’t allowed).”
“An elf gossiping writes itself.”
“Try and manipulate the fate of the competition of course”
Most likely to spend more time making gal pals than romancing our Bachelor

Another close-ish one edged out by Brydget. Shoutout to Ylthari who apparently wants to just chill in the lounge with the gals.

“She hangs out with only guys in the Hunters, nice change of pace!”
Great comment on Ailenn: “As a Lumineth, she is both scholar and warrior, and since Ardorn is beneath her, might as well make some professional contacts while suffering through this charade.”
Most likely to be the first invited to the Fantasy Suite

This one was anyone’s game. Ailenn edged it out.
I’m not publishing these comments.
Most likely to ‘you can’t fire me, I quit’

Everyone but Soror Tazat is a quitter, apparently.
“Sylvaneth are probably tied with Idoneth in terms of not liking outsiders, except the tree people are gonna tell it to your face.”
“Sigmar calls.”
“This sounds like she spent an atherquartz to reroll her results lol”
Most likely to win the competition and marry our fiery Ardorn

Strong showing from Brydget and Kaerna Vix (to my surprise), but Gwynne has the title. Starting fistfights with the other girls must warm Ardorn’s heart.

“Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, beauty and the beast! (To be clear, Ardorn is beauty and Gwynne is the beast in this scenario)”
Wrap
Thanks for playing along! Thanks as well for the warm commentary:
“Great addition to this series! Idea for next one: the Great Hysh-ish Baking Show”
“Excellent. 10/10. No notes. I always adore these high concept ‘Avin A Good Times and the bachelor and bachelorette ones are my favorite you’ve done.”

That’s all for this edition of ‘Avin a Good time. I have a ton of like, actual content in the next few weeks so it will be a minute until we return to the fun. As always, I welcome more suggestions (though the baking show is a great one), and whether you’re taking the game seriously or not seriously at all, I hope you enjoy Spending Glory.
